With all the modern technology we have today ... How can a plane with 228 people aboard VANISH?

... Without a trace? "I think it's totally weird. Maybe it's a conspiracy. I could understand if we were back in Amelia Earhart's time (1930s) but now? I can not believe it! Some people think that a bomb may have been brought on the plane and it was blown up by perhaps a terrorist ... Do you think that could be an explanation? Any other theories, comments, opinions?

I am truly fascinated and horrified by this. I too agree that this flight just disappearing from the sky is indeed bizarre and suspicious. There could definitely be a cover up going on, but why that plane? Was somebody on it that was a target? I do not believe it was a terrorist attack or bomb .... I really think bad weather took them over and they were unable to do a thing about it. What they're saying now is that they broke up in mid flight and were scattered in the Atlantic ocean. Either way, terrifying. And it could happen to anyone! I just want to add that when you're 35,000 ft in the air and something happens - the chances of survival are pretty much nil.
