Conspiracy Theory Author
Author with initials S.S.?

My cousin was telling me about an author who writes novels that are kind of like conspiracy theory based, and maybe with some romantic aspects? I know the initials were S.S. because at first I thought she was talking about Shel Silverstein, but this is another author and I cannot remember what they name was. Does that sound familiar to anyone?

Maybe Sidney Sheldon? He passed away in early 2007 but wrote many many novels similar to what you describe.
