Who Is Jesse Ventura

End of the World, 2012 and Jesse Vetura

Everyone knows Jesse Venture, one time governor of Minnesota and ex pro wrestler. Either, you like him or you don't. He now has his own investigative TV show. In one of the shows aired recently, he investigates the alleged government cover up of the true impact of the 2012 prophecy.

What struck me most about this particular program was the lack of media coverage of a joint NASA and National Academy of Sciences report mentioned in the program.

The report was commissioned by NASA and confirmed by the National Academy of Science. It forecasts the a peak in solar activity in 2012-2013. It is not that the Sun's activity is any different than in the past.

What is disturbing is that these scientists expect that will peak in this time frame. And, that is very possible that the solar storms can be as volatile as those of 1859 that fried telegraph wires.

Why is that significant? This is what the Natioanl Academy of Sciences has to say, "A contemporary repetition of the [1859] event would cause significantly more extensive (and possibly catastrophic) social and economic disruptions."

At first reading, that passage doesn't sound to ominous but consider this. NASA comments on that statement and estimates that the potential damage could reach 1-2 Trillion dollars. Hurricane Katrina's estimated cost in damage was between 80 and 125 Billion dollars, that is 1000 to 2000 times less! No one can deny that that is a lot of damage. Are we ready?

It is hard to imagine life without electricity. Most of our conveniences would become useless. Communications, travel, food supplies, water, fuel would soon become critically scarce. Rebuilding the grid would take years.

In addition to the NASA predictions, their Themis satellites, studying the earth's magnetic shield show that there are holes in our shield. In the event of a large solar storm, what are the consequences?

Regardless of your thoughts about the Mayan 2012 prophecy, NASA and the National Academy of Sciences predict some unusual and potentially devastating events for the 2012-2013 time frame. That the time frame is the same as the Mayan prophecy, I leave it to you to draw your own conclusions.

Whether you believe the Mayan prophecy or not, our best scientists are forecasting, not predicting, major events for 2012-2013. There is a difference. Hard data is the basis for forecasts, statistically projected, of course. Nevertheless, forecasts are based on hard data. Whereas, predictions or prophecies can be based on anything. You decide.

Decide for yourself. Is 2012 the end of the world? Prepare for the possibilities. Why not be prepared and arm yourself with knowledge?
